Toward a Traceable & Regenerative Future: India's Challenge for Sustainable Cotton
Organic Cotton Development Project in India
At Sincom Agritech, we promote contract cultivation of organic cotton in India. We advance sustainable farming practices that do not rely on pesticides or chemical fertilizers, while ensuring raw material supply with reliable traceability. On-site, we leverage our own agritech technologies to manage the entire process—from seed procurement to cultivation, harvesting, and ginning. In addition to obtaining NPOP certification, India’s organic standard, we also comply with international certification systems such as GOTS, BCI, and OCS, establishing a flexible quality management system tailored to the specific requirements of each export destination.
Furthermore, we actively engage in regenerative agriculture to improve local farmers’ incomes and restore soil health. This includes the introduction of organic fertilizers using locally sourced materials and the promotion of crop rotation systems. In fiscal year 2022, we also began collaborations with major apparel companies, supplying raw materials for original T-shirts and supporting product development aligned with ESG strategies. Through these initiatives, we are advancing a model of sustainable material supply that has a ripple effect across the industry.
